Poe Inspired Illustration

I used an excerpt from E. A. Poe's short poem "Alone" to inspire this illustration.

"From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view."

~Edgar Allen Poe

  1. Things look a little different around here! Don't you ever sleep, or work, or anything?! :)

Interesting interpretation of Poe's verse. A girl holding an umbrella, riding a giant severed heart certainly does feel a little demonic. Though maybe not what I'd have gone for :p

When I first visited your blog, you were painting birds and pandas... I think I prefer this new stuff :D
