Finally

So, I know I've been away for a while, but I've been busy with outside projects.  I'm never sure if I should post graphic design pieces here or not, seeing as this is a 'fine arts' kind of place.

Anyway, I'm back...uhhh again. :)

Charcoal Lizard

Here's a little side project in its early stages. Eventually I WILL finish it (ha, as if). This is in charcoal, and I've barely started, as you can see, but I felt bad, seeing as I haven't posted in a while and thought I should put something up.  I've just been outrageously busy as of late, but hopefully I'll have some spare time to post some art this week:)

Folk Inspiration and Finds

I went ermmm....thrifting.  Yes, I confess to being bizarrely in love with finding awesome things hidden within piles of junk.  I will be posting some sketches and illustrations really soon, but in the meantime I wanted to show you guys some of what I found.  First, for one dollar, I got a massive bag of used paintbrushes.  Now, this might seem silly, because because they are used, but seeing as how I have a tendency to scrub the canvas with my brushes I thought that these would come in handy.  Second, look at these weird little folk-art piggies! They are precious, and I don't know what to do with them yet.

Candy Thief

Finally, I have finished it.  I didn't think it would take this long (and it wasn't supposed to) but I was busy with other projects and...well...gah, that's just how it is ;) I'm very pleased with how this painting came out, but there are still a few things I might work on a bit later.

Octopus and Candy

Here's something I recently started...I'll talk more about it later, once I've finished it.  These photos are of the initial sketch plus some early watercolor and inking.
